Early this fall, a series of conversations began regarding planting another church here in Raleigh. Our elders had been sensing “Let’s begin planting in the Carolinas” and had been praying for God to show us the Pastor. A man named Douglas was aimed toward another City but was redirected. Our hearts were in the right place and The Lord was directing our steps.
Lord willing, next fall, another life-giving church will be planted here in Raleigh!
Douglas, Sheila, Aaron and Abigail Humphrey move to Raleigh this week and we could not be more excited. Douglas will be serving on staff at Harvest Raleigh as a Church Planting Resident while he builds his core group to plant a church in Southeast Raleigh.
Douglas’ family has roots in the Carolinas. He has served as an Associate Pastor at Harvest Davenport, Iowa for 6 years. He is very personable and hungry to mature people in the faith and reach multicultural southeast Raleigh.
