Sunday, January 6th, I had the joy of sharing with the congregation God’s unfolded story of bringing on a new worship leader to Harvest Raleigh as well as the next seat on the bus for our seven year worship leader CJ Davis.
We celebrated CJ a lot, including videos of how easily CJ scares and testimonies from worship team members about his exemplary faith, leadership and friendship. We also gave him a gift he’s been drooling over for months! It God’s goodness, CJ shared that being the worship leader at Harvest has been the single-most powerful means God has used to grow him up in the Lord. At that point, CJ caught a tissue box thrown to him as others in the congregation also wiped their eyes. CJ’s mark on Harvest is indelible. CJ will continue to play with the worship team and will be teaching some discipleship classes later this year, fanning into flame the teaching gift Jesus has given him.
Charles Su is a godly and gifted man, about to graduate from NC State in May with a communication media degree. He has been leading worship at Cru for several years and is now training up the next gen of worship leaders for Cru at NC State before he graduates. He plays guitar and keys, has a thorough knowledge of music and enjoys making God-glorifying videos. His first impression of Harvest in May of 2018 was that people really worship. Amen! His desire is that Jesus be worshipped and to help the congregation worship God all the more. Charles is enjoying being in a great Harvest small group and co-encouraging one another in the faith. Welcome to the team Charles!
