Sunday: Resurrection Day

Matthew 28 says that Mary and Mary ran from the empty tomb to tell the disciples that Jesus rose. As they were running, they ran into guess who?! Jesus! And Jesus said: “Greetings!” That Jesus said “Greetings” makes me laugh. I regularly wish I had chosen better words after conversations. Jesus never gets anything wrong, so this word must have been perfect. Jesus not only rose from the dead but is relationally engaging with His disciples immediately and He still does today. All authority is His because He rose from the dead. He is with us to the end of the age because He rose from the dead.
